Individual we.o.u cardholders ("Cardholders") may form a Group for the purposes of collectively redeeming Stars for the benefit of the Group (the "we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme"). Each Group must have a nominated Treasurer and Group Secretary. References to "we", "us" and "our" in these Terms and Conditions refer to Texaco Limited.
1. The we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme is open to UK residents aged 18 or over. Texaco and Star employees are allowed to participate in the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme.
2. All we.o.u Cards remain our property and must be returned to us on request or destroyed when no longer valid for use. Cardholders are responsible for keeping their we.o.u Card secure. We will not be responsible for any lost or unauthorised use of the we.o.u Cards.
3. The we.o.u Card is not a cheque guarantee card, credit or debit card.
4. The we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme application form forms part of these terms and conditions.
5. By signing the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme handout form, the Cardholder: (a) authorises the Group's Treasurer and Group Secretary to collect and redeem, on behalf of the Group, the Stars he/she earns subject to these Terms and Conditions; (b) is deemed to be satisfied that the Treasurer and Group Secretary are suitable persons to manage the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme; (c) acknowledges that we have made no investigation into the suitability of the Treasurer and the Group Secretary to manage the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme on behalf of the Group and have no control over their actions; (d) agrees that we shall not be liable to the Group or to any Cardholder in respect of any actions of the Treasurer and/or the Group Secretary; (e) agrees that the Treasurer and Group Secretary are solely responsible for managing the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme and redeeming the Stars on behalf of the Group and that the Cardholder has no right of action against us for breach of these Terms and Conditions or otherwise in connection with the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme and that only the Treasurer and/or the Group Secretary are entitled to take action on behalf of the Group.
6. To collect Stars, Cardholders must present their we.o.u Card to the sales assistant at the till before each transaction begins.
7. Stars will only be earned on every complete £1 spent. Stars accredited to we.o.u Cards are based upon the value spent on goods and services from Texaco service stations. Stars are not awarded on we.o.u Cards for vehicle servicing and repairs, MOTs and the purchase of vehicles or parts for vehicles, Fast Fuel, PCS Cards and bunkering including Key Fuels.
8. Existing Cardholders may join a Group and transfer their existing balance of Stars and any future Stars they collect to their Group. Once Stars are transferred to the Group the Group is solely entitled to such Stars. If any Cardholder leaves a Group, he/she cannot transfer out of the relevant we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme the Stars he/she previously transferred to the Group and/or collected for the Group whilst a member.
9. We reserve the right to withdraw vouchers and any rewards or other offers from the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme at any time.
10. Once their application form has been received and approved, all we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme Treasurers will automatically receive operational communications. These will include regular statement mailings confirming their Group Star balance, information relating to their home site and a Welcome Pack giving further information about the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme. Please allow up to 28 days after the receipt of this application for the Welcome Pack to arrive.
11. We reserve the right to refuse to award Stars, or to redeem Stars, or to terminate the right of any Cardholder or Group to collect and redeem Stars for any breach of these terms and conditions or failure by a Cardholder to pay for goods or services.
12. We reserve the right to vary the rate at which Stars are awarded either by specific Texaco service stations and/or by specific account types. ETC ETC...
13. We reserve the right to withdraw or cancel any individual we.o.u Card at any time on giving the Cardholder notice.
14. We reserve the right to terminate the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme at any time on eight weeks notice. This notice period will be communicated via promotional material in-store at Texaco/Star service stations. Those Cardholders who have used their we.o.u Card in a minimum of five qualifying transactions during the 12 month period prior to the date on which the scheme is to close will also be notified by post. Stars must be redeemed by the Treasurer and Group Secretary by the date which falls 28 days after the end of the eight week notice period ("the final redemption date"). Unless specified otherwise, the validity of the Stars will expire on the final redemption date.
15. Stars may only be redeemed by post or fax using the appropriate redemption form, which must include both the Treasurer's and Group Secretary's signature.
16. Should the Treasurer or the Group Secretary for a we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme account change, we must be informed in writing using the applicable form.
17. We accept no responsibility for incorrectly completed application forms or handout forms or for postal or faxed redemption forms that we do not receive. Proof of posting or faxing is not proof of receipt.
18. Should the Group and/or any Cardholder suffer loss because we breach these terms and conditions, we will only be liable in respect of such loss to the Treasurer and Group Secretary of the Group. Our sole liability in these circumstances will be limited to crediting the Group with any Stars that have been wrongly deducted or with Stars that have not been correctly credited.
19. Stars may be redeemed for vouchers, exchangeable for goods and services and subject to certain conditions. Details of we.o.u rewards are available at our website www.weou.co.uk.
20. Stars may also be redeemed for cash. The Group will receive the exact equivalent sum in a cheque as the Stars the Cardholders within the Group have collected. Minimum redemption is £10.00.
21. All cheques must be payable to a bank or building society account where the Treasurer's and/or the Group Secretary's signatures are required for that account. The Treasurer shall notify us of the relevant bank account or building society details.
22. It is a condition of all redemptions that the two signatories on the redemption request match the persons identified in our records as being the Treasurer and the Group Secretary.
23. We may apply such reasonable restrictions, conditions or further requirements as we consider necessary in connection with the issue or redemption of Stars either generally or in respect of a particular Cardholder or Group and may require proof that Stars have been acquired properly.
24. we.o.u rewards are subject to availability. Should any voucher or reward become unavailable owing to a high level of demand, we reserve the right to substitute an alternative voucher or reward of similar value. We shall not be responsible for any lost or stolen vouchers or for the delivery, quality or suitability of any goods or services redeemed for the Stars. The provision of such goods and services shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant supplier who shall be responsible for all faults or problems.
25. A Group's membership of the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme will be deemed closed, and any Stars written off, if no transactions are made for 12 consecutive months.
26. Please allow 30 days for delivery of all we.o.u rewards.
27. We will review the terms of the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme from time to time and reserve the right to alter these Terms and Conditions. Any alterations will be posted on our website which we advise you should check regularly.

29. By signing this application form you each agree to act in good faith and in the best interests of the Group. Should you receive any information from Texaco relating to any of the cardholders in your Group you hereby agree to keep it confidential and not to disclose it to any other person without the consent of the relevant cardholder.
30. By signing the Cardholder handout form, Cardholders agree that their personal details may be processed for the purposes of the we.o.u Group Loyalty scheme and that we may pass on to the Group's Treasurer and Group Secretary the Cardholder's contact details and information relating to the Stars such person collects. Use of each individual's contact details will be subject to Texaco's privacy policy which can be found at www.weou.co.uk
